That gap is the whole reason this site exists. Most beginner guides stop at encouragement, telling you to get outside or be creative or just try something, and leave you to work out the equipment on your own. So you either overbuy, spend a fortune on gear you abandon, or underbuy, get something that barely works, and quietly conclude the hobby is not for you.
What we publish
