Take this seriously: activity risk
This site publishes beginner guides to activities that carry real physical risk, including rock climbing and paragliding. Taking up any of them is your decision and your responsibility alone.
- Nothing here is medical, safety, fitness or legal advice. Talk to a doctor before starting a physical activity, especially if you have a health condition or have not exercised in a while.
- Activities of this kind need proper instruction, checked equipment and appropriate supervision. A shopping list is not training, and reading a guide does not make anyone competent.
- Air sports such as paragliding are regulated where you live and normally require formal training and certification before you fly. Meeting those requirements is on you, and a guide is not a substitute for any of them.
- You take part in any activity described here entirely at your own risk.
Using the content
The text, layout and design of this site belong to Scout LLC. You may read, print and share pages for your own personal use, and quote short passages with a link back. You may not republish substantial portions, scrape the site in bulk, or use its content to train a machine-learning model without written permission.
What we cannot promise
The site is provided as is. We work to keep guides accurate and current, but we do not warrant that any information, price, cost range or product recommendation is complete, correct or suitable for your circumstances. Prices and availability change without notice, and a product that suited a beginner last year may not be sold today.

We link out to retailers and other third parties. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, their products or their handling of your data, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Scout LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from your use of this site, from anything you bought after reading it, or from any activity you took up because of it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in the State of Wisconsin.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept it.
